Certification program successfully moved online — expanding reach worldwide while maintaining the quality and character that defined the brand.
An in-person program that couldn’t reach everyone who wanted to be certified
Hypnobabies had built a successful in-person certification program for childbirth educators. The program was known for its warmth, personal connection, and hands-on practice components. But geographic limitations and growing demand meant they couldn’t reach everyone who wanted to become certified.
Moving online wasn’t simply a matter of recording lectures. The heart of the Hypnobabies approach was experiential learning — participants needed to practice techniques, receive feedback, and develop the confidence to teach others. Translating that into an online format without losing what made it special was the core challenge.
A curriculum redesign that preserved what made the program special

Deep curriculum analysis
Working closely with Hypnobabies’ founders and lead instructors, the curriculum consulting team mapped the entire in-person program — identifying which components could translate directly, which needed adaptation, and which required entirely new approaches.

Experiential design preserved
Video demonstrations, guided practice activities, reflective exercises, and peer interaction components maintained the program’s emphasis on practice, reflection, and personal connection.

Competency-based assessment
Assessment methods were redesigned to evaluate not just knowledge but practical competence — ensuring online graduates met the same high standards as their in-person counterparts.
